We don't use flimsy plastic sheets. Our canvas is a heavyweight cotton-polyester blend that provides the perfect texture for photography, ensuring vibrant colours and deep blacks.

Solid Pine Frames

Cheap competitors use MDF or glue-laminated wood that warps in humidity. We use 100% Kiln-Dried Pine stretcher bars, hand-assembled in the UK for lifetime stability.

Epson Ultrachrome K3

Our 12-colour printing process uses archival pigment inks. This means your large canvas print is UV resistant and guaranteed not to fade for up to 100 years.

Not sure which size to pick? Here is a quick rule of thumb from our design team:

  • Above the Sofa: The canvas should be approximately two-thirds the width of the sofa. A 40" x 30" or 60" x 38" is usually perfect here.
  • Above the Bed: A panoramic format (like 40" x 20" or larger) looks stunning above a headboard.

Image Quality for Large Prints

A common concern is: "Will my photo look pixelated if I blow it up?"

At CanvasDesign, we have a built-in quality checker. Generally, photos from any modern smartphone (iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Pixel) taken in good light are perfectly capable of being printed at 30" or 40". For our massive 80" prints, we recommend photos taken with a DSLR or high-resolution digital file. If we think your image quality is too low, we will contact you before printing. We never print a bad image.

Despite their size, our canvases are surprisingly lightweight because we use kiln-dried pine. A 40" x 30" canvas typically weighs less than 2kg, meaning it can be hung on most standard plasterboard walls with a simple picture hook.

Yes! If you place your order before 12 Noon (Monday to Thursday), we manufacture and ship your canvas for delivery the very next working day. Orders placed on Friday will arrive Monday.

Our canvases are coated with a protective laminate. You can gently wipe them with a slightly damp, soft cloth to remove dust. Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbers.

We package our large prints securely with corner protectors and bubble wrap. However, if damage occurs in transit, simply email us a photo, and we will dispatch a replacement immediately free of charge.
